Oladapo Oyebanjo, well known by his stage as D'banj, has spoken out since being released from the ICPC's custody.
The father of two disclosed on his Instagram page that he was invited to participate in an ongoing investigation and has provided the commission with important information.
Oladapo Oyebanjo, better known by his stage as D'banj, has acknowledged that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), where he had been detained for more than 72 hours, had actually freed him.
The music artist further disclosed through his Instagram post on Friday night that he has nothing to do with fraud and is simply interested in shortening people's lives.
Thank you to everyone in the world. On a current ICPC probe, I was invited. I have given the commission all the information I have, and I have faith in their ability to discover the truth. I don't deal in fraud; all I do is take lives. Since nothing was observed or discovered on me, I was allowed to leave on self-recognition. God bless all of my people, he wrote in the description of a recent image.
The musician cooperated with the Commission during their investigation, thus he was released on Friday afternoon.
D'banj was released on supervised probation, according to his attorney Pelumi Olajengbesi, who was unable to confirm whether the ICPC had granted the musician administrative bail.
He further asserted that the ICPC has not found any indication of fraud related to the him
Nothing incriminating was found on him. He was released on self-recognition. Right now, we expect the ICPC to give a letter of clearance to Dbanj because, as we have always said, he is innocent of the charges brought against him,” the lawyer said.
